What is the cost of treatment?

From 1st February 2024: £75 initial consultation; £48 subsequent treatments
We accept payment in cash or by cheque or BACS by arrangement.

How long are treatment sessions?

The initial consultation normally lasts 1½ hours and subsequent treatments can last between 30 minutes to 1 hour depending on the individual needs of the patient.

How much treatment will I need?

Treatment begins at the end of the first consultation and we usually suggest a few weekly sessions depending on your needs. As your health returns the time betweeen treatments is extended. You may be attracted to return for seasonal treatments, or at demanding times, to maintain your health.

What does it feel like?

Very fine disposable needles are used. The sensations of needling last a very short time and can vary from a dull ache to a slight tingling in the area.

Is it safe?

We are members of the British Acupuncture Council which has  a strict code of practice with stringent hygiene regulations. We use sterilised disposable needles used once for each individual patient.  The Centre has been approved by the local authority according to statutory requirements.

Can I claim for acupuncture treatment on my Health Insurance?

An increasing number of private health insurers cover the cost of acupuncture treatment and so you should check with your provider.
